Gravelly Hill Interchange, better known by its nickname Spaghetti Junction, is a maze of motorway junctions linking junction 6 of the M6 with the A38 expressway into central Birmingham aswell as several local roads.
Construction started in 1968 and was completed in 1972. The Junction covers 30 acres, serves 18 routes, includes 2.5 miles of slip roads across 5 different levels, has 559 concrete columns, and spans the Birmingam to Lichfield railway line and the Tame Valley canal.
